Orange, CT – April 29, 2010 - Cumberland Farms kicked off the opening of its newest store in Orange, CT with a fundraiser to benefit the students at Race Brook Elementary School.
Starting today, Cumberland Farms will donate 20 cents from every Chill Zone beverage and cup of coffee sold at151 Boston Post Road to Race Brook Elementary. The monies raised will go towards providing necessary school supplies, new playground equipment, and guest presentations from authors and musicians.
“We were pleasantly surprised to receive this generous donation from Cumberland Farms,” said Jenny Koshes, of Race Brook Elementary PTA. “As we are planning activities for the end of the school year this fundraiser will be a big help.”
Cumberland Farms aims to raise at least $1,000 for the school.
“We are delighted to give back to the students and help make life a little easier for the Orange community,” said Mr. Ari Haseotes, president of Cumberland Farms Retail Division.
While the store is located at a former Thorntons location, customers will notice the Cumberland Farms difference right away, particularly with the availability of a custom blend of delicious Farmhouse Coffee and its hallmark Chill Zone cold beverage station. Visitors will also be able to choose from a variety of fresh food steeped in the company’s farm-family heritage, including sandwiches, fresh baked pastry, donuts, and a variety of milkshakes and smoothies.
