CUMBERLAND FARMS CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF NEWEST MODEL STORE WITH FUNDRAISER FOR PLAINVILLE, MA KING PHILIP REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

CUMBERLAND FARMS CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF NEWEST MODEL STORE WITH FUNDRAISER FOR PLAINVILLE, MA KING PHILIP REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
(Plainville, MA –November 17, 2009) - Cumberland Farms kicked off the opening of its newest model store in Plainville, MA with a fundraiser to support the students at King Philip Regional High School.
Starting today the company will donate 20 cents from every ChillZone beverage and cup of coffee sold there to the King Philip Regional High School Student Activity fund. The fundraiser will support awards ceremonies and student breakfasts, among other activities.
“Student breakfasts and other activities have been hard to fund in the past,” said Principal Jill Proulx. “Therefore we are so grateful for the support Cumberland Farms’ is giving us, as these school events are a critical important to our students’ experience at King Philip Regional High School.”
Cumberland Farms aims to raise at least $1,000 for the high school. The store is located at 139 South St, Plainville.
“This school fundraiser is our way of saying thank you to Plainville and its surrounding communities for the support we have been given over the years,” said Ari Haseotes, president of Cumberland Farms Retail Division. “We are delighted to bring our new concept store to Plainville and help make life a little bit easier for everyone there.”
Visitors to the new Cumberland Farms will notice a change upon taking the first step through the front door. From a wide variety of sandwiches that can be toasted on site, to thick chocolate milkshakes, flatbread breakfast sandwiches and even personal pepperoni pizzas, the new menu is squarely focused on fresh food, and is steeped in the company’s farm-family heritage. Customers can be their own baristas at the coffee bar, stocked with the delicious new Farmhouse Blend, or opt for a cold beverage at the trademark ChillZone.

The company will hold a ribbon cutting and kick off the student fundraiser on November 17 from 3:00pm – 4:00pm at the 139 South St, Plainville, MA location. Cumberland Farms employees, King Philip Regional High School staff and students will cut the ribbon at 3:30 pm.
