Framingham's Cumberland Farms promotes new 'foodcentric' concept
August 03, 2009 –FRAMINGHAM - In the spring of 1939, Greek immigrants Vasilios and Aphrodite Haseotes spent almost all of their savings to buy a 110-acre farm in Cumberland, R.I. An additional $84 was spent to purchase a cow and her calf. The result would be a dairy business called Cumberland Farms.
